An anthology awaited for over half a century, "The Last Dangerous Visions" is the third and final book in the legendary science fiction anthology series.
In 1973, renowned writer and editor Harlan Ellison announced work on the third and final volume of his unprecedented anthology, begun with "Dangerous Visions" and continued with "The New Dangerous Visions." However, for unknown reasons, "The Last Dangerous Visions" was never completed.
Now, after Harlan Ellison's death, the most famous unpublished book in science fiction history has finally seen the light of day. With it, readers have the opportunity to experience the dramatic story of its creator—a brilliant, controversial, and artistically obsessed genius. His friend, J. Michael Straczynski, creator of the Babylon 5 series, helped bring Ellison's ideas to life.
Provocative and controversial, socially significant and politically trenchant, relentlessly bold in imagination yet deeply human, these thirty-two previously unpublished stories, essays, and poems embody Harlan Ellison's creative credo. Gathered under one cover are acclaimed masters and emerging voices of science fiction, including Max Brooks, Edward Bryant, Cecil Castellucci, James Corey, Howard Fast, Dan Simmons, Robert Sheckley, Adrian Tchaikovsky, Mildred Downey Broxon, Cory Doctorow, and many others.
