What is an electronic gift card?

An electronic gift card is an analogue of a plastic gift card, but without a physical medium.

This card is accepted only in the online store kniga.lv.

What denominations are available?

There are both preset denominations for convenience (10, 20, 50, 100), and the ability to specify your own denomination from €10.

The validity period of the electronic gift card is not limited.

If the amount on the electronic gift card is not enough to pay for the purchase, you can pay the missing amount with a bank card, another electronic gift card and Paypal.


What else do you need to know?
  • You cannot buy a gift card at a discount.
  • You can use a gift card to pay for both the product and delivery.
  • You can use one gift card to pay for several different purchases.
  • You can send gift cards to several recipients at once —in this case, each recipient will receive their own separate card of the specified denomination.
  • It is possible to add a personal message to the recipient.

You can go directly to the category you are interested in in the menu or use the search to find the book you need.

If you have found the product you are interested in, then by clicking on the "Add to cart" button, you put the selected product in your cart and can continue searching. When you click on the cart symbol in the main menu, the cart panel opens. You can go to the cart page or directly to the checkout page.

On the checkout page, you can once again check the contents and cost of your order, fill in your details for order delivery and select the payment method.

After you have filled in all the required fields on the checkout page, confirm the order by clicking the appropriate button. You will receive notifications about your order and its status by email. Once payment is received, the order will be processed and shipped.

Yes, of course! You can order a book that is not in our online store on the special page.

Within 5 working days after we receive your request, our managers will contact you and, ifthe product is available, they will announce the cost of the book and the delivery time. If something does not suit you, just refuse! Filling out the application does not oblige you to anything.

For some products (not just new ones), we can allow pre-orders. This means that the product is currently out of stock, but we are confident that it will arrive at the warehouse.

After you find the desired edition, go to the product card by clicking on the title of the book (product), or on the cover.

You will find yourself on the product page. The product page in the "Pre-order" status is distinguished by the absence of the "Buy" button. In its place is the "Pre-order" button.

Click the "Pre-order" button, and the product will be placed in your basket, after which you can proceed to the checkout procedure.

Once the product arrives at the warehouse, your order will be collected and transferred to the delivery service you selected when placing the order.

The execution time for such an order usually takes 2 weeks.

Please note that the pre-order execution time may vary depending on the workload of the publishing houses. Unfortunately, we cannot influence them.

Orders are shipped from Monday to Friday. Orders placed on weekends are processed on Monday.

The order is processed within 3-5 business days after payment confirmation, after which we transfer your order to the delivery service. During discounts and in December, the order processing period may increase to 7 working days.

Delivery times in Latvia are 2-3 working days, 4-6 working days in Lithuania and Estonia, for other EU countries - 6-12 working days from the moment the order is handed over to the courier service.

We will replace your product if it is damaged or if a hidden typographical defect is found. Hidden defects are:

  • upside down, missing, mixed up pages;
  • incompleteness and inconsistency of block elements;
  • unsealed pages, except for those provided ("blank" sheets);
  • glued pages and damage to text or illustrations when opening;
  • cut edge of text or illustrations on a strip ("cut" text or illustrations);
  • incorrect insertion of the block into the cover, the block is upside down, "foreign" block;

If the replacement book is not available, we will refund your money.
We will refund the money within 3 working days from the date of receipt of the returned book, by transferring funds to your bank account in the way you used when paying for the order.

You can return your purchase within 14 days of receiving your order.

We reserve the right to refuse the buyer's return of the goods if the goods were used, damaged, not in full assembly, or have lost their original appearance. You can find out more about the terms of return on the special page.

Yes, of course, the Polaris customer card gives a 10% discount on all products except the "Book of the Month".

Book prices may change due to differences in exchange rates, the appointment or cancellation of a discount on the product. The product card and your shopping cart always show the current price of the product.
