Pushkin's time - "a quarter of a century", counted by Pushkin himself from the date of the foundation of the Tsarskoye Selo Lyceum (1811), 1810-1830s - is the "golden age" of Russian poetry. He received his name not eloquence for the sake of eloquence: it was the "golden age" in antiquity called the bygone era of beauty, goodness and justice, the era of the lost paradise. And indeed, the art of the nineteenth century absorbed the most beautiful, powerful, unique features of Russian culture. This era can be called the paradise of the Russian soul, lost, but regained in the poems of the poets of Pushkin's time. The collection includes the lyrics of authors who defined the image of the "golden age" of Russian poetry: V. Zhukovsky, K. Batiushkov, D. Davydov, P. Vyazemsky, A. Pushkin, A. Delvig, V. Kuchelbecker, E. Baratynsky, A. Griboyedov and others.
