The book includes the main collection of lyric poems by Marina Tsvetaeva, as well as poems written in different years of her life, including masterpieces of Russian love poetry: "Poem of the Mountain" and "Poem of the End." "Along with Anna Akhmatova, Marina Tsvetaeva occupies ... the first place among Russian poetesses," K. Balmont wrote in 1921. "Larger than Tsvetaeva in our century there is no poet," - half a century later Joseph Brodsky spoke of her. However, in the heat of literary and political battles, the uniqueness and scale of her poetic gift could not always appreciate her contemporaries - both in Soviet Moscow and in "Russian" Paris. Nevertheless, against misunderstanding and loneliness, one "for all" and one "against all," Tsvetaeva truly became "the leader of her destiny" (as Bella Akhmadulina wrote about her) and took one of the main places among the great poets of the twentieth century.
The edition is provided with notes, as well as an introductory article by Y. V. Malkova. V. Malkova.
