Anatoly Anatolyevich Strigalev (1924–2015) was a prominent art historian, a leading scholar of the Russian avant-garde, the author of several monographs, and the organizer of international exhibitions. Art history owes Strigalev numerous discoveries, theories, datings, and findings, but among his wide range of interests, Vladimir Evgrafovich Tatlin (1885–1953), a leader of the artistic avant-garde and the founder of constructivism, stood out. From Strigalev's extensive corpus of articles on Tatlin, this publication has selected texts devoted to various aspects of the artist's life and work: a detailed overview of his works, an imaginary tour of the famous futurist exhibition "0.10," a description of a trip to Berlin and Paris, an analysis of Picasso's influence on Tatlin's style, and others, providing a complete understanding of both Vladimir Evgrafovich's work and the key works of his chief biographer.
