The name of Mikhail Kuzmin - poet, translator, critic, composer - is inextricably linked to the culture of the Silver Age. Alexander Blok called him "an artist to the bone", "the finest lyricist", "the wittiest dialectician in art". Kuzmin's creative style is equally close to Symbolism, Acmeism, and Futurism, but the poet never classified himself as belonging to any school of poetry. This edition includes poems from different years. They include the debut cycle "Alexandria Songs", which for many years became Kuzmin's calling card, and the last book "Trout Breaks the Ice", considered not only the pinnacle of his work, but also an outstanding example of poetry of the 1920s, which "broke the ice" of Soviet censorship and, in the words of Anna Akhmatova, perceived by contemporaries as "deafening news".
