"Autumn" is the third book in the four-volume collection of landscape poetry, "Japanese Seasons."

Haiku are magical images rendered in verbal sketches. Classics of the genre urged us not to describe, but to describe things in extremely simple terms, as if we were pronouncing them for the first time.
This unique thematic collection of Japanese haiku poetry was compiled by renowned Russian researcher and translator Alexander Dolin, Professor of Japanese Literature at the Higher School of Economics and Professor Emeritus at Akita International University, who lived and worked in the Land of the Rising Sun for many years.

The book includes masterpieces by the finest haiku masters, including the greatest poets of the Middle Ages and the Silver Age.
