The name of Ivan Bunin, the first Russian Nobel Prize winner, poet and prose writer, never became a sign of a literary school or trend. But staying away from the fashionable literary trends of the era and remaining faithful to the traditions of the Golden Age, Bunin became a classic even in his lifetime. According to A. Tvardovsky, his poetry is characterized by "a constant desire to find in the world "a combination of the beautiful and eternal" ... to dissolve in the cycle of nature, in the change of the endless succession of centuries". Looking into the pictures of nature, turning to the depths of memory and history, to the riddles of the human soul, the poet enriched Russian poetry with new intonations and images, capturing in his work a strange "fluidity of time" and the elusive beauty of the world, which, like a momentary glow of a sparkle, sometimes illuminates our lives with a mysterious light. This collection is based on poems written in different years of life and included by the author in the collection of works of 1934-1935.
