This edition contains four books of the complete edition of Arthur Schopenhauer's outstanding work "The World as Will and Representation", rightly considered a classic of German philosophical thought. The two-volume structure of the book was proposed by the author himself, who in the second (lifetime) German edition added to the main volume (the first), which includes, in addition to "The World as Will and Representation", also "Critique of Kantian Philosophy", a second volume containing important additions clarifying the philosopher's thought in various aspects. This structure has been retained in the present book. The edition opens with an article by the remarkable Russian thinker A.A. Kozlov, who was keenly interested in Schopenhauer's legacy, which introduces the reader to the main concepts and problems of his philosophical system.
