Carnegie's work has earned a cult following for good reason—in a good way: as long as people continue to communicate, books like this will remain relevant. While the applicability of some principles to everyday life (and to everyday Russian realities) is far from certain, overall, Carnegie presented everything clearly and to the point. The absolutely indisputable principles of effective communication—for example, avoiding criticism and empathizing with others when evaluating their actions or giving advice—are based on fundamental humanistic concepts such as compassion, respect, and caring for oneself and loved ones.

As for the content of individual chapters, readers not involved in sales or the like might appreciate more examples of how these principles can be applied to family interactions. It seems that some approaches, formulated as individual principles, overlap with others, meaning it would be more logical to combine them. However, everything is explained very clearly and convincingly. Such knowledge should be taught in high school and in courses for young parents. Although professional psychologists view this book with some skepticism, the recommendations it offers are very practical and will serve as a good foundation for anyone wishing to master "everyday psychology."
