Alexander Glikberg went down in the history of Russian literature as Sasha Cherny. Having taken this pseudonym in his youth, the poet regretted it more than once, and over time (having matured and turned gray) he began to sign his poems as "A. Cherny", but still remained Sasha for everyone. He gained wide fame thanks to his poetry feuilletons, which were published in the famous magazine "Satyricon", headed by Arkady Averchenko. According to K. I. Chukovsky, having bought "received a fresh issue of the magazine, the reader first of all looked for the poems of Sasha Cherny. There was no such student, such a student, such a doctor, lawyer, teacher, engineer, who would not know them by heart." In his work, subtle lyricism and satire, the causticity of poems written on the topic of the day, and the softness, sentimentality of works for children are closely intertwined. This edition publishes poems by Sasha Cherny from different years.
