Vladimir Frenkel is a poet, essayist. He was born in Gorky (Nizhny Novgorod) and grew up in Riga. He is a historian by education. His articles have been published in the West and in Russia, also in samizdat. Author of eight collections of poetry. In Israel since 1987. Winner of the prize of the Union of Russian-speaking Writers of Israel.
