What do we wish we had known when we were children? What do we wish our children knew? What is so important to discuss, but seems a little early at six and maybe late at twelve, during the separation process. Outside of the school program, and sometimes even at home, are many questions that shape a child's identity: who am I, what is my value, what is my calling, do I have goals and how do I set them. What are emotions and how to cope with them, how to communicate, be friends, love, how to speak and listen so as to be heard. Nor do they teach important life skills at school: how to be organized, make a report, come up with something new, work in a team, manage a personal budget; how to understand your body and stay healthy. We've included answers to these and many other questions in an infographic book for tweens ages 9 and up. Each spread introduces a child to an area of soft skills in an engaging visual form (almost comic book, but deeper) and helps them recognize and start working on their own. Soft skills are formed throughout life, but are especially active in childhood, during the formative period of social bonding. The book includes original content created specifically for the project by the Smart Reading team. We have read, revised and synthesized about a hundred bestsellers on psychology, emotional intelligence, self-development, healthy lifestyle, communications, etc., making the ideas accessible to children. Editors of children's literature worked on the project under the guidance of the Editor-in-Chief of Smart Reading.
