Of the whole family, only Mila can go to the human world, because no one else can move her ears but her. The thing is, her grandmother once decided to boil a magic balm to fix things in the family store. Everything was going swimmingly, but suddenly the cauldron exploded. Not only did the house nearly collapse, but some of the Muggles were caught up in a witchy vortex and carried away to the human world. And now it was up to Myla to get them back. She, a real hereditary wizard, will have to go to school with ordinary children and live with her aunt, who carefully hides from her husband that she is a witch. But keeping magic a secret turns out to be not so simple....
The book sparkles with magic, but it makes an interesting point: magic is not the solution to all problems. You can use it to build a palace, but it will collapse as soon as the spell loses its power. Magic makes life easier, but it should not be abused. The ending is intriguing and keeps you waiting for the sequel.
