The poem "Mail," written by S. Ya. Marshak almost 100 years ago, has lost none of its relevance. It's an educational story about a letter's journey around the world. Together with the letter, the young reader travels from one city to another, from one country to another. To reach its destination, the letter travels by train, flies through the air, and sails on a ship. Postmen still deliver letters to homes, and people rejoice when they receive paper envelopes from family and friends. S. Ya. Marshak created a true hymn to postmen and their difficult, unnoticed, yet vitally important work.

The poem "Mail" is timeless; it contains mystery, intrigue, and a clear rhythm that children love. It's easy to remember.

A wide variety of artists illustrated this work by S. Ya. Marshak: V. V. Lebedev, F. V. Lemkul, Yu. D. Korovin, A. M. Eliseev, and M. A. Skobelev. Contemporary artist Yaroslav Mikhailov decided to challenge the classic artists and offered the young reader of the 21st century a new, vibrant poster illustration solution. "Mail" was his graduation project at the Stieglitz State Academy of Art and Design, completed under the supervision of Professor and graphic artist Nikolai Yuryevich Lavrukhin.
