Buddy Threadgood grew up in Halfway Station, with his beautiful mother, Ruth, and his favorite aunt, the fun-loving bully, Idgie. Ruth and Idgie ran a café that was adored by all the people of Halfway Station, and not only Halfway Station. But time knows no pity, the town withered, its inhabitants moved away, everything was overgrown with weeds, houses stood boarded up. Sadness and silence embraced the once lively and cheerful Polustanok, it turned into a ghost town. Badi had long since not only grown up, but also grown old. And his desire to return to his happy past, to walk at least once more through the places of his childhood, to visit the Peninsula, to look in a cafe... And one day he decides to flee to the place where he was so happy, where the best people on earth lived. In this nostalgic adventure he will be joined by other characters of Fanny Flagg, cute, funny, charming and so dear. We return to the Halfway House for another taste of fried green tomatoes.
