Jaume Cabré (b. 1947) is the brightest star of Catalan literature, screenwriter, philologist, subtle psychologist, deeply understanding human nature; his books have been translated into dozens of languages, their circulation exceeds one million copies, and his landmark work "I Confess" was awarded numerous prizes.
