Georg von Forstner (1882-1940) became one of the most effective submarine commanders of the Kaiserlichmarine in the early stages of World War I, sinking twenty-four ships between March 1915 and April 1, 1916, taking two as prizes and damaging one with a total tonnage of 64,536 tons. Von Forstner's first book, which summarized his experience in this position and was published in the midst of submarine warfare, was repeatedly reprinted in Great Britain and the USA. It is published in Russian for the first time. The edition is supplemented with annexes - articles on Britain's participation in the submarine warfare of L. George and W. Churchill. For a wide range of readers.
