With the help of this notebook, your child will learn to confidently write the printed letters of the Russian alphabet. As in all other Kumon books, it is based on the principle from simple to complex. That is why the letters in the notebook are given not by alphabet, but by difficulty of writing. First the child will write letters consisting of straight lines, then of slanted lines, then letters with arcs and finally with circles. Before writing the letters, the child will practice drawing lines of varying difficulty. The notebook was developed by the Kumon Center especially for Russian children and has been tested and approved by Svetlana Voskresenskaya, a teacher and author of many manuals for preschoolers, who acted as a scientific consultant for the notebook.
