During those years, Nadezhda Alexandrovna was forced to conceal her authorship of works dedicated to the preaching of Orthodoxy, lest she be expelled from the Union of Soviet Writers. Bishop Anthony (Melnikov), who knew her well, published several of Nadezhda Alexandrovna's works under his own name at her request.
