Stalik Khankishiev was born in Uzbekistan, in the multinational Fergana. 25 years ago, Stalik began publishing his recipes and stories on the Internet, which eventually became his books, which in many ways changed the attitudes of millions of readers to food. Stalik hosted culinary columns and programs on Russian TV channels, captivating more and more people with cooking.
In your hands is a thorough revision of his first book, published in 2006, and printed over the years in many editions, more than a million copies.
For the anniversary, "golden" edition, significant changes were made. Hundreds of photographs were re-shot, taking into account frequently asked questions, fundamental texts were corrected, not the most successful recipes were removed and very popular ones were added, such as lagman, manti, Samarkand pilaf and stuffed peppers. In essence, it turned out to be a new book, which in no way can be called a collection of Uzbek cuisine recipes. It is not a guide to Central Asian cuisine or even, more broadly, to Eastern cuisine. It is an invitation to look at the world through the eyes of a passionate, talented and generous person who had the chance to penetrate into an ancient and beautiful culture, filled with the aromas of such different countries and enriched by the traditions of such different peoples. This cuisine is bright, spicy, cheerful, sophisticated and at the same time simple. Such as Stalik himself is and what his “life philosophy” is.
