Young Canadian Targa should be in her final year of school, but she is a siren, a water elemental, and also the heir to the Polish Nowak Shipping Company and the remains of the sunken ship Sibellen. So the girl is in Gdansk, swimming in the Baltic waters with her lover Antoni and her mother Myra, but something greatly darkens her life. Her mermaid mother can no longer stay on land, she is drawn to the ocean, and Targa cannot explain to Antoni where Myra has gone: her mermaid nature is her great secret. Things take a really bad turn when someone steals a pendant with a transparent turquoise crystal - one of the artifacts from Sibellen. Trying to unravel the thief's motives and catch him, Targa gets into an incredibly dangerous situation, and her lover almost loses his life...
