The monograph studies the social policy of anti-Bolshevik governments in the east of Russia during the Civil War. The author identifies the main directions of social policy, investigates the theoretical and ideological foundations for solving social problems, analyzes the legal framework, the degree and scale of its implementation, the immediate results, direct and indirect long-term consequences, the reaction of the population to the actions of the authorities. The study was conducted with maximum reliance on the achievements of modern historiography, with the involvement of a significant amount of archival documentation, periodicals and published sources. The publication provides a comparative analysis of the social policy of anti-Bolshevik governments in eastern Russia and in other centers of resistance to the Bolsheviks, as well as a comparison with the social policy of the Soviet government, and raises a wide range of problems related to the peculiarities of interaction between the state and society in the Civil War.
