To the attention of readers is offered a fundamental multivolume reference manual on mechanisms in modern engineering, authored by the outstanding Soviet scientist-mechanic I.I.Artobolevsky. In the selection of mechanisms are given mainly schemes and descriptions of mechanisms of general purpose, or mechanisms used in a variety of branches of mechanical engineering.
