Orhan Pamuk is a famous Turkish writer, winner of numerous national and international awards, including the Nobel Prize in Literature for "finding the soul of his melancholic city". Indeed, the action of almost all of the writer's novels takes place in Istanbul, a city of mystery and beauty, which has experienced the highest prosperity and the sad twilight of decline. The action of the novel "Snow", however, develops in a small provincial town, where a young poet arrives in search of clues to the causes of death of several young girls who committed suicide. Here, as if on the edge of the earth, dwells a completely different people, practicing strict religious rules. Cut off from the whole world by vast white spaces, covered with snow, the town does not even think of slumbering, but on the contrary - closely follows every step of the uninvited guest....
