The book documents the creation and operation of concentration camps established by the Polish government on the territory of the Polish state, with Polish guards and wardens. In 1919-1922 in such camps Red Army soldiers who were captured during the Soviet-Polish war were kept in such camps; of the half a dozen of these camps, the most terrible were the camps in Tuchol and Strzalkow (mortality rate over 60%). In 1920 there was a camp in Jabłonna for Jews, in 1934-1939 the camp for dissidents in Bereza Kartuzskaya was famous for its atrocities. In 1945-1950 the camps created by the Germans were used by the Poles to intern Germans themselves (Lamsdorf-Lambinowice, etc.). The Polish government takes hypocritical offense at the term "Polish camps." However, we are not talking about German camps on Polish territory (such as Auschwitz or Majdanek), but specifically about Polish camps and Polish atrocities and crimes, for which there is an accountability and no statute of limitations.
