Vasily Yanovsky's "Champs-Élysées" (1906, Poltava – 1989, New York) is a highly personal, vivid, and subjective memoir of Russian émigrés in Paris in the first half of the 20th century. The book's protagonists are the "unnoticed generation," children of the first wave of emigration. They contrasted themselves with the "older writers" and felt undeservedly relegated to the background.

Yanovsky's close friends included Boris Poplavsky, Yuri Felzen, and Valerian Dryakhlov; he was acquainted with D. Merezhkovsky, Z. Gippius, I. Bunin, B. Zaitsev, V. Khodasevich, G. Ivanov, and others.

The book is illustrated with rare photographs.
