Bertrand Russell (1872–1970) was a Nobel Prize laureate in Literature, an English mathematician, public figure, and one of the greatest philosophers of the 20th century. He authored the celebrated works "Problems of Philosophy," "Marriage and Morals," "The ABCs of Relativity," and the seminal work "A History of Western Philosophy."

In his collection "In Praise of Idleness," the great British philosopher, with his characteristic wit, erudition, and logic, discusses the pressing issues of his time—issues that, surprisingly, remain no less pressing today, in the twenty-first century. And how can one not recall the classic who once said: "The more things change, the more things remain the same"?
