The book "Raise Your Hands Up!" is a conversation between Alexey Potekhin, the founder and former lead singer of the band "Ruki Vverh!", and writer Marina Skryabina. This work contains previously unpublished information about Alexey Potekhin's childhood and creative career, as well as about the other members of the "Ruki Vverh!" project. Many names of famous people have been changed, as the full truth about the band "Ruki Vverh!" may be disturbing to some.
In the first part of the book, you will learn about Alexey Potekhin's path to success, the foundation for which was laid in childhood; the influence of family on development; and the influence of basketball and river technical school on Alexey's character development. How he first stirred up the neighborhood, then kindergarten and school, and then technical school and university, and finally, radio and television... The second part of the book is dedicated to the band "Ruki Vverh!", which recounts their entire creative journey, beginning with Potekha and Seryoga meeting at the radio station "Europa Plus" and the beginning of their friendship; how "Ruki Vverh!" formed and how their hits were written; about winning girls, touring, and fleeing from a crowd of three thousand fans; and, of course, about the band's breakup...
The book is a revelation, revealing Alexey Potekhin's journey from superstar to a man who converted to Orthodoxy and was able to forgive betrayal and insults. Will the former lead singers of "Ruki Vverh!" now be able to reunite?
