The year is 1917. His son Eugene dreams of Princess Shakhovskaya, unafraid of the difference in origin. Not only class barriers but also the revolution stand in the way of their union. The year 1941. Dozens of years later, their children will begin their journey - some in their homeland, some abroad - only to overcome all the obstacles and find the happiness their parents dreamed of.
