The Voyage of Teusier
9.99 €
The Trojan War is over, and Teusier, Ajax's brother, returns home. His father, learning that Ajax has died and his surviving brother has failed to avenge him, banishes his wayward son. Teusier has no choice but to surrender to chance and set sail with his retinue. However, misfortune befalls him here too: the ship is caught in a storm, and Teusier is washed ashore.

Teuusier finds himself not on dry land at all, but on a huge whale: cities built on it, inhabited by brave knights and beautiful ladies. He desires only one thing—to escape the whale, but prophecies say this will never happen. The hero, whose resourcefulness Ulysses himself would envy, must contend with capricious fortune. The local nobility, whom Teusier entertains with exciting stories of adventures that took place during the Trojan War, also don't want him to leave. "The Voyage of Teussière" is a witty and inventive reimagining of Benoît de Sainte-Maure's 12th-century chivalric "Romance of Troy." With his characteristic elegance, Roman Shmarakov reimagines ancient plots, both instructive and amusing. "The Voyage of Teussière" offers laughter, suspense, and hope.
