Fyodor Nikolaevich Glinka (1786 -1880) - a famous writer of the first quarter of the XIX century, a participant in the Patriotic War of 1812, editor of the "Military Journal". As an adjutant of General Miloradovich Glinka took part in almost all the battles of the war with Napoleon. Nadezhda Andreyevna Durova (1783-1866) - better known as "cavalry maiden" - was the first female officer in Russian history to have fought in the Napoleonic Wars. In the middle of her life she took up writing memoirs and, in the words of Alexander Pushkin, "as firmly held the pen as before the saber". Denis Vasilyevich Davydov (1784 - 1839) - poet and writer of the second quarter of the XIX century, one of the most famous and beloved heroes of the War of 1812. Lieutenant Colonel Davydov approached Bagration with a proposal to create a partisan detachment. Davydov's hussar detachment made daring raids on enemy troops, which formed the basis of his memoirs. General Alexei Petrovich Yermolov (1777 -1861) - one of the most famous participants of the War of 1812.
