Recollections of the leader of the Social Revolutionary Party, friend and associate of B.V. Savinkov and A.F. Kerensky, member of the Constituent Assembly and Provisional Government of 1918 about his political path. Intelligent, talented man, he could bring much benefit to his country, but only played deadly games with the Okhrana Department, spending his best years in illegal work, prisons, exile, forced immigration ... Zenzinov was a stranger both in autocratic Russia and in post-revolutionary Russia, an enemy for the gendarmes, for the Bolsheviks, and for Admiral A.V. Kolchak.
V.M. Zenzinov wrote two books of memoirs "From the Life of a Revolutionary" and "Survived". He worked on the first book in 1919, after Admiral Kolchak expelled him from Russia. The second book - "Survived" - was written on the slope of years, in exile. In it V.M. Zenzinov more fully describes the historical facts, as well as personal details ... The narrative is cut short by the events of 1908, associated with the exposure of provocateur Azef. On what happened later - the years of World War I, the February Revolution, October 1917. The Civil War can be learned from the book "From the Life of a Revolutionary", fragments of which are included in the appendix to this edition.
