Publishing house “Prestige Book” in the framework of the publication of the Collection of Works of I. A. Efremov, decided to publish the epistolary heritage of the writer and scientist in a single style.
The first edition of the Letters presented correspondence in the form of a chronologically consistent presentation; in this format it was decided to collect letters by personalities, which, in turn, were divided into a “tripitaka”, where each “basket” of texts has the most generalized name.
The structure of the new edition is three-part, the volumes are called “Science”, “Life” and “Literature”. The names are conditional and only partially reflect the thematic and ideological richness of Efremov’s communication. Sometimes correspondence with scientists goes so far beyond purely scientific problems that we end up symbolically relegating it to another category. Diverse and communication with various readers, literary figures. Starting with the discussion of specific works, it often became in the full sense of the word meaningful life, passing into the form of teacher literature.
