Clara Blum was born in Austria. At the age of 31, she received Soviet citizenship, and after World War II, she went to live in China. The novel "The Shepherd and the Weaver" is written in the genre of autofiction.

The Shepherd and the Weaver are characters from an old Chinese legend. New-Lang and Dshe-Nu love each other, but the Milky Way flows between them. Only once a year can they meet and spend time together.

In Moscow, Hannah meets a Chinese theater director. Feelings flare up between them, but the happiness turns out to be short-lived. New-Lang is sent back to China by the party to make a revolution. Hannah is eager to see her beloved. Neither war, nor bureaucratic red tape, nor poverty stop her, because she is his Dshe-Nu. China meets Hannah with new difficulties and trials. Everyone says that New-Lang has died, but Dshe-Nu believes that they will meet again.

The book is published in a soft cover with flaps that can be used as bookmarks. You will never lose the place where you stopped. To enhance the tactile sensations when interacting with the book, some elements of the image on the cover are highlighted with volumetric varnish.
