Having accumulated capital on the stock exchange, Baruch went into politics, becoming an economic advisor to five consecutive American presidents. In World War I, he headed the U.S. Military-Industrial Committee, transferring American industry on military rails and on this well earned, then, as a member of the Supreme Economic Council of the Versailles Conference, has a hand in reshaping the political map of the world, further pulls off a big score in the Great Depression. It was he who introduced the term "Cold War"... In his autobiographical book Baruch tells about his family, financial adventures, meetings and work with statesmen, reflects on the politics and economy of his country.
