The reader's attention is invited to the continuation of the first ever specialized printed work devoted to the armament of the Russian army during the First World War. This book is devoted to the artillery of the Russian army of the early twentieth century. A significant part of artillery systems has been very poorly covered in the literature until recently. This is especially true of specialized types of artillery, such as anti-aircraft (in the current terminology - anti-aircraft) and trench artillery (mortars and bombometers), which are given considerable attention in the book. Like the previous works in the "Weapons of the Great War" series, this book examines armament primarily from the perspective of soldiers and officers of the Russian army. The text is written on the basis of published sources, the vast majority of which were published in the early twentieth century, as well as archival documentary materials previously unknown to a wide range of researchers. Photographs from private collections and museum collections, as well as drawings and diagrams from early twentieth-century literature and archival sources are used as illustrations. A significant part of the illustrations is published for the first time.
