The collection of papers is based on the materials of two conferences held by the Commission on Renaissance Culture of the Scientific Council "History of World Culture" of the Russian Academy of Sciences in 2019 and 2020. The articles by well-known Russian experts on the history of Renaissance culture presented in the collection explore the features of education, pedagogical theory and practice characteristic of the era,
their relation to the ancient and medieval heritage.
