2024 – the year of the thirtieth anniversary of palliative care in Moscow. In 1994, with the launch of the home help service, the First Moscow Hospice began its work, later named in honor of its founder Vera Millionshchikova. Today it is a model for the organization of palliative care in the country. Hospices in Russia are state free medical institutions. In order for each hospice not only in Moscow, but throughout the country to become a real home that preserves the warmth of human life, no matter how much it remains, employees and volunteers of the Faith Charitable Foundation work in hospices. Sometimes they take a little time to record their experiences and memories, which we have carefully collected here.
To remove the husks, to help us slow down time and notice the main thing – we conceived this book. Nuta Federmesser, founder of the Faith Charitable Foundation.
