Ricardo Monsalve (born 1981) is a Chilean writer and philologist. He is an associate professor at the Herzen State Pedagogical University of Russia and the Higher School of Economics in St. Petersburg. His debut text, "The Invisible Army," was published in 2019.
Five years later, "The Interpretation Machine" was published.

The novel raises questions about the possibility of consciousness transference and explores the dark side of artificial intelligence. Largely inspired by Dante, Bulgakov, and Borges, Monsalve's work combines elements of the classic Russian school of science fiction, such as Alexander Belyaev, with the characteristic features of American science fiction writers.
