"He came, enchanted and happiness came," was how Pablo Neruda recalled the most famous poet of Spain, Federico García Lorca. His light-winged poetry seemed infinitely far from the turmoil and catastrophes of the twentieth century. Even in his late surrealist poems, Lorca appeared as if an inhabitant of another planet. However, in his euphonious fairy-tale songs underlying sounded sad voices of modernity, to which the author could not remain indifferent. And the tragic death of the poet under the bullets of the Frankist soldiers, perhaps, was predicted in his verses: "There are ships that are just waiting for a careless glance to quietly go underwater." This edition includes the most famous poems of Federico Garcia Lorca in the best translations. Some of them are printed in Russian for the first time.
