The small southern town of Limonata is famous for its lemons, which never spoil. The locals lead a serene and measured life: they make strawberry jam, exchange books and buy sweets every Monday, which Gentile brings in his truck. But one day, Arabiato shows up in town. He sells morsels of green berries. This morsel, he claims, will cheer up the sad and give strength to the tired. The people of Limonata taste it... and are changed beyond recognition. They don't need sweets anymore, and there's no trace of their former good-naturedness. The only ones who haven't tasted the morsel are eight-year-old Capuchinka and her faithful friend Frida the lizard. Together with the sweet seller Gentile they go in search of an antidote. Sofia Remez is a journalist, screenwriter and novelist. "Limonata" - her first experience in the genre of fairy tales. The book was designed by artist Natalia Ryabchikova.
