"Inkblack Heart" is a detective novel by British author J.K. Rowling, published in 2022 under the pseudonym Robert Galbraith. It is the sixth novel in the Cormoran Strike series.
Edie Ledwell, creator of the popular cartoon "Inkblack Heart," contacts Strike and Robin's agency. She tells of cyberbullying and asks Robin to help her find a man nicknamed "Anomie," whose online harassment drove her to attempt suicide. He writes vile rumors about her, accuses her of every mortal sin, and suggests she continue her attempts to take her own life. Robin, citing the agency's full schedule, suggests she contact someone who specializes in cybercrime. The woman leaves, but shortly afterward, the media reports her death – Edie was brutally murdered in a cemetery, and her partner in the cartoon, Josh Blay, was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
Agent Edie approaches Strike with the same request: find Anomie. This time, Strike and Robin take on the case and try to identify the killer, knowing only his Twitter handle and the fact that he created a computer game based on the cartoon.
