"Horse Red" - a sequel to the novel "Hop" and the second part of the famous trilogy Alexei Cherkasov "Tales of the people of the taiga", created by him in co-authorship with his wife Polina Moskvitina. The novel was written in 1972 - later than the other books of the trilogy, and is devoted to the turbulent events of the Civil War. Siberia is engulfed by white terror, and even the adamant Old Believers could not stay away from political events: Belaya Elan divided into two camps, agitated by the rapid running of the formidable and inexorable time. "Time is not a horse, you can't ride around it, you can't stop it - it flies and rushes, but where to? And how will it be tomorrow, the day after tomorrow? Death or health? Will the frantic time drag it away for good or for bad?...". The necessity to choose his path arises before the main character of the novel - Cossack chorunzhim Noah Swan nicknamed Red Horse, whose actions are guided by an unshakable faith in the triumph of good and justice: "No one will overthrow my conscience. And honor. That's what the whole world stands on.
