This story is told by three women: King Agamemnon's wife, Clytemnestra, his daughter, Electra, and his concubine, Cassandra. Clytemnestra cannot forgive her husband for the death of her eldest daughter and thirsts for revenge. Electra remembers her father's departure to war with the Trojans and awaits his return, but suspects her mother's bloody plans. She is powerless to prevent the tragedy, but she understands she cannot stand by and must help ensure justice prevails. And the Trojan Cassandra, gifted with the gift of foresight by Apollo, knows perfectly well what is destined to happen, but no one believes her predictions, and she cannot save anyone, not even herself, from destruction. This is a story about fate, destiny, and retribution for sins committed.
