Taguchi Hiro is a hikikomori. He has been a recluse for the past two years, never leaving the confines of his room at his parents' house. In an attempt to return to the real world, he goes to the park, where he sits on a bench all day and observes the life around him. Ohara Tetsu lost his job, but he can not admit it to his spouse. Every day he leaves the house in a suit and tie, but instead of going to the office he goes to the park and sits on a bench until evening. Hiro and Tetsu discover an inexplicable kinship. They learn to listen and empathize: the despair and sadness, hopes and dreams of one seem close and understandable to the other. This invisible bond helps each of them to find the strength to start their lives anew.
