The book by Captain Pavel Mikhailovich Trofimov, a participant of the White Movement in the South of Russia (VSYUR), tells about the final stage of the Russian Civil War: the battles in the Northern Black Sea region between the VSYUR and the Workers' and Peasants' Red Army, which took place in the spring and fall of 1920. The manuscript was completed by the author in exile by the end of the 1920s. It was based on numerous documents and testimonies of participants of the events collected by the author. Trofimov, who directly participated in the events, not only described the fighting in detail, but also tried to answer the question about the reasons for the defeat of the White movement in 1920.
