Berlin yoga teacher Lucy has never been to India, despite her profession. Her beloved father Lou has long been stuck in the past, in the rock music of the 1960s and 70s, and her mother Corinna is a star TV journalist with a brilliant career. One day, Corinna disappears, and the worried Lucy and Lou begin a search that leads them to the famous Indian Rishikesh, a sacred city, a place of great importance for hippies in the late 1960s, and now, in fact, the world capital of yoga.

In 1968, Lou, his younger brother Mark and two girls set off on a journey along the "hippie road", to the famous ashram of the guru Maharishi, where the Beatles and their entourage also came. In the ashram, four young Germans found themselves in the very center of a world transcendental spiritual revolution, which for them will turn into a drama.

Shpek's novel is a love story, a family story, a spiritual journey and a surprisingly vivid portrait of the hippie era.
