"In 1991, the editors of Literaturnaya Armenia accepted my story, but... the magazine folded, and the issue containing this story was published 25 years later. During this time, I earned two degrees—in engineering and economics, defended my PhD, and rose through the ranks from a student programmer to a director at an IT company.
All these years, I never stopped dreaming of becoming a writer. And I worked towards it. In 2021, I successfully completed my first year of creative writing and continue to learn from professionals. In 2022, my story "Grand Alloy, or the History of the Trojan Voyage on the Colorado River" won the national literary award "Manuscript of the Year" from the Astrel-SPb imprint.
And now, finally, my book is being published. Our family's favorite Aussie, Latte, a "coffee with milk" dog, helped me create it. Almost all the stories in the collection were conceived during morning and evening walks with him, so the main characters in these life stories are not only people but also—how could it be without them!—dogs."
