Ryoko Sekiguchi, a Japanese poet and French essayist, author of the books Nagori and 961 Hours in Beirut, translated into Russian, always, no matter what becomes the theme of her works - Japanese ideas about the change of seasons, the life of a multifaceted and polyphonic Levantine city, the tragedy in Fukushima, etc. - writes about how time is structured and how we "negotiate" with it, remembering, forgetting, savoring moments and not noticing the passing years. In this short text, combining features of diary notes, a prose poem and a philosophical essay, the human voice becomes the manifestor of time, paradoxically always existing in the present.
